Pet Portraits

Pet Portraits

Pet Portraits make a great custom gift for all types of occasions or for that focal point in your living room. An A2 pencil drawing of your pet can take pride of place over the fireplace, over the bed, in the study, or on the staircase.

Recently I have been commissioned to complete a large number of personal artwork pieces of family pets. These have included dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, birds no name just a few.

Below are some of the recent pet portraits I have completed.

Where can I commission an artist?

I’m often asked when I show my artwork, “Where can I commission an artist?”. The answer is here lol. As well as creating artwork for charity events, athletes and nature, you can commission me as your artist to create a unique piece for your home or as a gift.

I was recently commissioned to create a highly detailed piece of a clients two dogs. In total this piece took over 200 hours to complete.

Evie & Darcy Commissioned Dog Drawing

Complete with tufty pieces of fur, facial expressions, puppy dog eyes and even the odd bit of dirt. Each hair has been individually drawn and shaded to make a true to life portrait of each dog.

Evie is a terrier cross and has multiple shades across her coat. WIth her tufty beard and her harness being slightly lost in her thick black fur, you can certainly tell its her.

Darcy is a Bichon Frise

Darcy is a Bichon Frise with a brilliant white coat. However her crafty nature and love for country walks mean she is rarely brilliant white, as captured in this portrait.

How does commissioning an artist work?

The first step is to reach out to me and let me know what type of artwork you are looking for. Please note though that all my artwork is created in fine pencil. We can then discuss both price and timescale. Once we have agreed on a price and timescale, I will ask you to send me some high resolution photos that I can work from. Depending on the type of artwork I am creating, I may require some additional close up photos for added detail.

Motorcycle Father’s Day Gifts

It’s just over two months until Father’s Day comes around once again. Being both a Father and Grandfather, it is a day that I love to spend with my family. Apart from being with my family, the perfect gift for me is something I can cherish, keep and have on display. Every time I look at it or see it, it reminds me of my wonderful children and grandchildren. Motorcycle Father’s Day Gifts become harder and harder to think of every year. Artwork is for ever changing and can make a unique and personal gift year on year.

Art and motorbikes are two of my favorite things, so an art piece of a rider such as Valentino Rossi or Brad Ray would make a good gift for me. Alternatively, a custom piece which includes my children and grandchildren would take pride of place in my living room.
